Hosting costs
Cheap hosting in India: compare the real cost before choosing a plan
An inexpensive hosting plan can be a reasonable starting point for a small business. The problem is buying by the first-month headline without checking the term, renewal bill and work that is not included.

Calculate a realistic ownership cost
Write down the initial amount payable, minimum commitment, renewal amount, applicable tax and separately billed services. A displayed monthly equivalent may require paying for a longer term at checkout. Compare plans over the same period.
Add domain renewal, mailboxes, backups, security maintenance and any paid migration work. Check cancellation and refund conditions for the exact services you buy. Do not assume that a bundled first-year item stays free indefinitely.
Read the limits behind the plan name
Check storage, file-count limits, CPU or process restrictions, database capacity, supported runtimes and backup retention. The number of allowed websites does not tell you how many busy applications the account can handle.
For WordPress, compare the plan against the current software requirements and your plugins. For a custom application, confirm the actual runtime and worker support. A familiar provider name is not enough to establish compatibility.
Where Hostinger fits in the comparison
Hostinger is one option to compare when assessing India-focused hosting. Check its current plans and the details of the particular product, rather than assuming shared hosting, cloud hosting and VPS include identical management.
This article does not promise a fixed price, coupon saving or a performance result. Offers, tax, eligibility and renewal charges can change. The linked plan page and the final checkout are the places to verify the amount and term before purchase.
Look at support and your way out
Ask who investigates a broken form, email delivery issue or failed update. Hosting support and application maintenance are different services. A migration offer may also have limits on application type, mail, databases or the work included.
Keep the domain and account recovery under the business’s control. Confirm that files and databases can be exported and that you can obtain a usable backup without relying on one developer’s personal account.
A small site should still have a recovery plan
Before launch, test the website’s important actions and restore one backup to a separate location. Record how to contact support and who can make an urgent change. These steps often matter more than a small difference in the advertised monthly rate.
When comparing quotations, ask for hosting, application support, email and backups as separate lines. Mesh Creation can help assess those choices and explain which responsibilities the business is taking on.
A 24-month calculation makes the offer easier to judge
Illustration only, not a provider quote: if the first year costs ₹199 a month and renewal costs ₹499 a month, hosting alone totals ₹8,376 over two years. That is an average of ₹349 a month before taxes, domain renewal, mailbox charges and any backup add-ons. Check whether the advertised rate requires a longer advance payment.
Compare plans using the same period and the same needs. Include the cost of moving out, restoring a backup and getting help when something breaks. A slightly higher package can be better value if it includes services you would otherwise buy separately.
Ask these questions before paying
For a small Indian business, an invoice you can reconcile, suitable support hours and a reliable form notification may matter more than the longest feature list. Choose a plan only after checking the current checkout terms.
- Can I export my website and database without keeping this subscription?
- What are the inode/file-count, CPU, memory and simultaneous-process limits?
- Are email, backups and SSL included throughout the term or only initially?
- What exactly is excluded from the refund policy?
- Who restores a broken site, and is that help included?
