Route by readiness
Use booking for guests ready to select inventory and terms, enquiry for needs that require context, and WhatsApp or call for fast human clarification. Explain what happens next on each route rather than presenting three identical floating actions.
Carry useful context
Preserve property, room or package interest, dates, landing page and campaign context when a visitor begins a conversation. Avoid prefilled messages that make unsupported promises or expose private booking data.
Normalise the operating record
Create one enquiry identity with channel, owner, status and next action. If the same guest changes channel, flag a possible duplicate for review instead of opening disconnected records or merging uncertain people automatically.
Keep payment authoritative
A WhatsApp statement or submitted reference is not proof of payment. Link payment evidence to the intended booking or invoice, verify it through the authoritative provider or owner process and keep the audit history immutable.
Measure the whole outcome
Track route starts, completions, response time, qualified conversations and confirmed direct revenue separately. This shows whether a channel attracts useful intent and whether the operating team can convert it.
